Daniel Burzlaff
Utopia President

As co-founder and President of Utopia Entertainment, Inc., Daniel brings his 30 years of experience within the themed entertainment industry to the table. Daniel focuses his daily attentions on the creative development of all projects for the firm and leads the design team in the creation of live shows, attractions, experienced-based exhibits and events for clients across the globe.

Daniel studied theater while literally growing up within the theme park industry (beginning in 1977 as an entertainer for SeaWorld of Florida), and thus over the years, has amassed a tremendous working knowledge of themed entertainment. He possesses the creative vision and talent to transpose theatrical techniques into special effects, show action elements and interactive opportunities for the guests in a continual effort to produce affecting entertainment.

Prior to launching Utopia, Daniel held creative/management posts with the following organizations; Soundelux Showorks (Vice President of Creative Development), The Totally Fun Company (Executive Director), Universal Studios Florida (Manager of Entertainment & Special Events), and SeaWorld of Florida (Manager of Entertainment). Over the years Daniel has had the good fortune to work with clients such as; Six Flags Theme Parks, Walibi Parks, National Basketball Association, Warner Brothers, and Nickelodeon Studios, to name a few.

Though a consummate entertainer, Daniel is most proud of his off-stage creations; his two lovely daughters and his happy marriage of over 27 years. He lives in Los Angeles, California.

Norm Kahn
Utopia CEO

As CEO of Utopia Entertainment, Inc., Norman Kahn brings over 25 years of design and production experience to the company’s day to day operations. Managing the business affairs and international operations of the company is his primary focus, but producing ground breaking attractions is his passion, and is what drives him to deliver outstanding results for Utopia’s clients around the globe.

Having produced events and attractions in over 15 different countries around the World has enabled Norman to leverage his vast production experience and build an impressive network of designers and suppliers who support the company’s operations. Whether it is a project in Asia, Europe, or North America, Norman brings the experience and resources necessary to achieve the client’s goals.

Prior to founding Utopia, Norman served as General Manager of Soundelux Showorks, and as Vice President of Entertainment for Universal Studios Hollywood. Before serving as Vice President of Entertainment for Universal, Norman spent 8 years in Universal Creative, designing and building some of Universal Studios most well known attractions, like Jurassic Park, Back to the Future the Ride, and Jaws. In 1996 Norman served as Project Manager for the groundbreaking attraction “WaterWorld – A Live Sea War Spectacular ,” a project for which Universal won the coveted “Attraction of the Year” award from the Themed Entertainment Association. Norman is also the named inventor on the US patent for this attraction.

Norman also has a diverse background in Event Production, having produced corporate theater events for companies like IBM, Honda, Toyota, and Price Waterhouse Coopers. Bringing themed entertainment design and production techniques to event projects is a special joy, and is something that Utopia Entertainment provides for its clients while producing world class special events around the World.

Norman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Pepperdine University, and resides in Los Angeles with his two sons.
