As CEO of Utopia Entertainment, Inc., Norman Kahn brings over 25 years of design and production experience to the company’s day to day operations. Managing the business affairs and international operations of the company is his primary focus, but producing ground breaking attractions is his passion, and is what drives him to deliver outstanding results for Utopia’s clients around the globe.

Having produced events and attractions in over 15 different countries around the World has enabled Norman to leverage his vast production experience and build an impressive network of designers and suppliers who support the company’s operations. Whether it is a project in Asia, Europe, or North America, Norman brings the experience and resources necessary to achieve the client’s goals.

Prior to founding Utopia, Norman served as General Manager of Soundelux Showorks, and as Vice President of Entertainment for Universal Studios Hollywood. Before serving as Vice President of Entertainment for Universal, Norman spent 8 years in Universal Creative, designing and building some of Universal Studios most well known attractions, like Jurassic Park, Back to the Future the Ride, and Jaws. In 1996 Norman served as Project Manager for the groundbreaking attraction “WaterWorld – A Live Sea War Spectacular ,” a project for which Universal won the coveted “Attraction of the Year” award from the Themed Entertainment Association. Norman is also the named inventor on the US patent for this attraction.

Norman also has a diverse background in Event Production, having produced corporate theater events for companies like IBM, Honda, Toyota, and Price Waterhouse Coopers. Bringing themed entertainment design and production techniques to event projects is a special joy, and is something that Utopia Entertainment provides for its clients while producing world class special events around the World.

Norman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Pepperdine University, and resides in Los Angeles with his two sons.
