The Ceremony took place on Rodeo Drive and included live entertainment from local acts: M-Pact (a 7-piece A Capella group), Concert 9Net (a 9-piece Jazz Orchestra) and The Ditty Bops (a quartet combining swing, vaudeville and folk). Also on stage, Beverly Hills was proud to welcome Mayor, Jimmy Delshad and UNICEF Ambassador, Sharon Stone, to help light the Baccarat chandeliers on Rodeo Drive as well as the UNICEF Snowflake. This year commemorated UNICEF’s 60th Anniversary and Utopia created a surprise grand finale, in addition to lighting the 16ft-tall snowflake, to celebrate the occasion.
Before the stage show, Rodeo Drive was flooded with atmosphere entertainment including; face painters, musicians and caricature artists. Parents and children were able to make an early visit to Santa Claus located at 2Rodeo and take home a complimentary picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus. |
