UTOPIA ENTERTAINMENT SELECTED TO PRODUCE ANNUAL BEVERLY HILLS LIGHTING CEREMONY

October 1, 2007 – In addition to creating the extensive Holiday themed presence throughout the city of Beverly Hills, Utopia Entertainment has been selected to produce the Annual Lighting Ceremony for Beverly Hills.

The Ceremony will take place on Rodeo Drive on November 17, 2007 and run from 4:30pm to 8pm. The event will include live entertainment from local acts: M-Pact (a 7-piece A Capella group), Concert 9Net (a 9-piece Jazz Orchestra) and The Ditty Bops (a quartet combining swing, vaudeville and folk). Also on stage, Beverly Hills is proud to welcome Mayor, Jimmy Delshad to help light the Baccarat chandeliers on Rodeo Drive as well as the UNICEF Snowflake. This year commemorates UNICEF’s 60 th Anniversary and Utopia has created a surprise grand finale, in addition to lighting the 16ft-tall snowflake, to celebrate the occasion.

Before the stage show begins, Rodeo Drive will be flooded with atmosphere entertainment including; face painters, musicians and caricature artists. Parents and children can also make an early visit to Santa Claus located at 2Rodeo and take home a complimentary picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus. After the event, 2Rodeo will be offering treats and street entertainment to residents and guests as Santa continues to take pictures.

The Lighting Ceremony will be a kick off event for the rest of the holiday season, giving residents a taste of what’s to come over the next couple months. Throughout the rest of November and December, the streets of Beverly Hills will be filled with street entertainment, new holiday décor and lighting and over 120 new banners. Residents and guests can also take advantage of the “Jolly Trolley” – Beverly Hills weekend trolley ride through the city with special guest Mrs. Claus!
