UTOPIA ENTERTAINMENT PROMOTES REBECCA PONTIUS TO DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL PROJECTS
March 1, 2010 - Utopia Entertainment is pleased to announce the promotion of Rebecca Pontius to the position of Director of Special Projects.
Rebecca began her career with Utopia Entertainment directly from college in 2002, having graduated from the University of Central Florida and uprooting herself from her hometown of Orlando, Florida. For the past eight years, Rebecca has tackled the enormous tasks of managing marketing initiatives, creating and maintaining the Utopia website and overseeing a multitude of Special Event Productions for clients around the globe.
Rebecca began working in the field of Special Events during her college years when she was selected as a media liaison for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia, and 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. These opportunities opened Rebecca’s eyes to the possibilities of pursuing a career in producing and managing large-scale special events, and ultimately a decision to head to L.A. Since joining the Utopia team she has aided the company in producing and managing numerous events including, Great Park Anniversary, Great Harvest, the yearly Beverly Hills Lighting Ceremony, and so much more. In the time she has worked for Utopia she has proven her diverse skill set in marketing development and creative graphics, as well as project management and production.
In Rebecca’s new role as the Director of Special Projects, she will directly oversee the Production & Project Management of both Special Events and Theme Park related productions for clients throughout California and the world.
