MAGICAL STARLIGHT PARADE LIGHTS UP THE NIGHT AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN
March 6, 2009 – The Magical Starlight Parade opened at Universal Studios Japan (USJ) and will perform nightly, thrilling guests for years to come. A brilliant, dazzling production, The “Magical Starlight Parade” lights up the Osaka based theme park with a rainbow of stunning colors and imaginative floats, costumes, props and music. Millions of lights bring a world of fairy-tales to life, illuminating the park each night, and giving theme park guests a surreal, dreamlike experience.
The parade tells the story that “Wishes can come true”, featuring the popular tales of Alice In Wonderland, Arabian Nights, and Cinderella. Utopia provided both design and production support, working closely with the project team and design consultants to bring this wonderful parade to Universal Studios Japan. The parade features elaborate parade floats with amazing lighting and audio, special effects, and a diverse array of puppetry units that bring these enchanting and memorable tales to life.
The parade performs to an original, musical theme “Light Up The Night” written by Alan Lee Silva, and stunningly beautiful floats designed by Steve Bass. The parade was directed by Sylvia Hase, and features a huge cast with incredible costumes performing dream-like choreography which compliments and supports the theme of each story. Executive Producer, Mike Davis, the amazing entertainment production team and Universal Studios Japan have delivered on another amazing entertainment feature for the millions of guests who enjoy the popular park.
