PETER PAN'S NEVERLAND AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN WINS THEA AWARD
February 29, 2008 – Peter Pan’s Neverland, a nightly show at Universal Studios Japan, is a Broadway-style musical spectacle that takes place in the main Lagoon, with three enormous floating stages that represent London, Neverland and Captain Hook’s Ship. The vibrant, 20-minute show takes place nightly, and features stunt performers bouncing and leaping on hidden trampolines, fantastic pyrotechnic displays, and Peter and Wendy soaring some 100 feet in the air.
The 14 th Annual Thea Awards, hosted by TEA (Themed Entertainment Association) honor “Outstanding Achievement in the Creation of Compelling Places and Experiences” in over a dozen categories. The Universal Studios Japan show, Peter Pan’s Neverland won this year’s Award for Outstanding Achievement: Event Spectacular.
Acting as Consulting Producer for Peter Pan’s Neverland, Norm Kahn assisted in the development of the concept and the production of the nighttime spectacular.
